baby clothes (even boy baby clothes) are not all that “manly”. Lauren and I went to a consignment sale this week, and we looked at clothes together, and she kept picking clothes that were “cute” and “sweet” while I was looking for clothes that were “strong” or “rough and tumble”. I don’t know why I am suddenly so interested in clothes, I guess it is just another mystery of parenthood. Thinking about clothes so much reminded me of the verse in Colossians 3:12

<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; I like to think of it this way: Now that I am adopted by the King, I need to take off the old peasant clothes I was wearing and put on the royal robes that are appropriate for a son of the King! This means changes in not just my attire, but also changes in my actions and decisions! What in your life needs to be changed to match your “royal status?

Friday, September 08, 2006

So I finally found a book I have been trying to read for quite a while... and I read it... and now I am unexpectedly sad because the book was awesome, but didn't end the way I wanted it to. Oh, well. If it had ended differently it probably wouldn't have been so good.

Thursday, August 31, 2006

I have been trying to get the picture of our sonogram on here...I just won't work! Anyway, its a boy, and I'm so happy. Also yesterday was Lauren's B-day!

Wednesday, August 30, 2006

I know that God answers prayers, but unfortunately sometimes His answer is no. But some times it is Yes. Sometimes you just have to wait and see for yourself.

Sandy began a job as an elementary school counselor and she was eager to help. One day during recess she noticed a girl standing by herself on one side of a playing field while the rest of the kids enjoyed a game of soccer at the other.
Sandy approached and asked if she was all right.
The girl said she was.
A little while later, however, Sandy noticed the girl was in the same spot, still by herself.
Approaching again, Sandy offered, "Would you like me to be your friend?"
The girl hesitated, then said, "Okay," looking at the woman suspiciously.
Feeling she was making progress, Sandy then asked, "Why are you standing here all alone?"
"Because," the little girl said with great exasperation, "I'm the goalie!"
